All countries need blue collar labor, sanitation, mechanics, firefighters, police, etc. What would we do without them?
Considering that the majority of people in the world or more specifically the U.S. is approximately 61% blue collar compared to 39% white collar.
Now normally you don’t need to go to college, maybe a trade school, but that’s it for education. So for us that are slightly challenged with the books, we have an out, or do we?
In 2000 20% were manufacturing jobs, today in 2015 it is approximately 5%. You know good old computers, automation and of course Obama’s push for “free trade” the 12 nations that make up the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) which will allow corporations to give those jobs to other countries.
So now we have people who aren’t highly educated and losing those jobs, well we have a problem. But this is a problem that leads us to yet another problem.
Obama promises us the world, with borrowed money. So far $18 Trillion of it. Which makes us not far from Greece’s problem. As a matter of fact we are exactly Greece in that the average person doesn’t have the necessary educational tools to understand REALLY who is the best politician for our country whether its Greece or the United States.
The average person votes, because “Oh yeah, I heard of him” and because they are not into politics they just pull the handle and make their ignorant patriotic vote. They may read a left wing or right wing paper that will brainwash them into their idea of a politician.
So the paper that they read every day (so they feel informed) are really spent reading about the latest adventures of the Kardashians a cornucopia of conflict. Interracial, sex, morality, money, plastic surgery, scandal, cross dressing, gender confusion and of course the thing that drives all that Fame. But for the average person, it’s an easy read. Something that you don’t have to read over and over to maybe understand.
The economy, politics and all that boring stuff is really hard. No, not as hard as it has to be. Our politicians, our schools, our parents make it hard. Politicians they are just full of it, they will tell you whatever you want to hear. Our schools are just looking to get people graduated, ready for the next person to push through the system. Yes there are good teachers, but the system doesn’t have the time or finances needed to help push the child to a true understanding of the subjects, so they let them go and wish them well. Our parents are so busy trying to keep a roof over our heads that they don’t have time to help us and they can’t because they are just a generation behind us and they were part of the system also.
For blogging out loud)) all of us idiots just go along with the town crier, the local newspaper, or the politician on TV because they must know more than us.
It is the parents who either worked or remember the blue collar jobs and their children who grew up wanting more then they could be given. But they are struggling in our world today and it will be worse for the next generation. We have to prepare our children.
It is crucial that schools push the necessary education so that we can understand what the politicians are saying, and they have to do it so it’s interesting. Yes this is hard, but I believe this should be THE mandatory class that is a mix of Political Science, Journalism, Psychology, Economics, and whatever else can make us understand who we should really vote for.
The problem is the crooked politicians, the ones that promise you can retire early, national healthcare, etc. These Socialist politicians have run rampant in Europe and have destroyed the economies of more than one country. I don’t blame the ignorant people, they look up to the people who have made more of themselves than they did. These are the stars of the town, city, country, they didn’t lie to us did they?
Our responsibility of learning does us no good, if the politicians don’t explain it to us clearly, for the layman. Obama has proved if you talk simply and clearly you can become the president. But I hope in the future our next generation will be smart enough to see through the smoke screen that politicians throw up, and insist on full solutions for our problems explained clearly for us to make a decision.
Greeks, Americans and all countries have this problem. I have said it before, ignorance is our worst problem.))
