On the 4th of November 2014 some of us voted during the midterm elections, and some of us got a special thank you for taking the time to do something that we should be excited about, really, we take so much for granted in this country. Some people in other countries have their fingers painted to show that they had voted for fear of voting twice. And when they leave, that finger
is hidden for fear of a reprisal. So take a minute and be happy about the freedom that we have and stop taking it for granted.
Now on to something that shows us how we also have to watch over our government or at least some of the people that work for our government. Tuesday night I voted, later that night my wife (a waning democrat) also voted (same place). So she came home and said she was thanked for her voting and was given the sticker shown. I wasn’t given one. Now don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t give a hoot that they didn’t give me this waste of money sticker, as if I am a kid.
Well maybe I am wrong, maybe this is why they should print and distribute these a gift for voting sticker. Give it to a kid, show them how important it is to vote, explain it to them. Make them feel proud to be able to vote so that when they become of age, they will follow. But not, if you are the child of a republican?
This sticker says “distributed in partnership with the NYC Board of Elections” Now I don’t think the NYC Board of Elections is bias, or is it, or are the Poll workers?
So was it intentional or not?))
