The University of Minnesota has announced they will drop vague racial descriptions that they use in their crime alerts. They will only use the description when it will reasonably help them catch the criminal. Black men said that “descriptions negatively impact their sense of safety”. So not to offend them, they put everyone else in danger.
The University of Minnesota had 69,221 enrolled students in 2014.
So, a couple of more facts: Males = 48.2% Females = 50.5%, Unknown = 1.3%.
Non Students of Color: 85.2%, Students of Color: 14.8%
OK, so now we have an understanding of the makeup of the University. Now if they use every single description that they get from the victim, they will narrow it down to 3.6% of the populace or 2,438 people. Thats pretty good detective work without really doing anything.
Now lets say they are pressured by a small group into this political correct nonsense and now you have to look at 14.8% of the students or 10,121 people. Thats more than 4x times the amount of students that you have to interrogate.
So now, because of a 3.6% or 2,438 populace, now 14.85% or 10,121 people will be offended. For blogging out loud)), isn’t that what they want to avoid.
Oh wait, lets remember there’s approx. 50/50 ratio of male to female, so lets cut those numbers in half. So now that’s ONLY 1.8% or 1,219 people to track, unless your bit by the PC police then there’s, 7.43% or 5,060 people! How much easier would it be to interrogate 1,219 people compared to 5,060?
Now I’m not a college professor or anything like it. But the numbers don’t add up.
So it appears that their motto: “Driven to Discover” doesn’t mean they want to “Discover” the criminal.))
