Opposing points of views on news with commentary in simple english

Social Media’s decidedly left clique

.

Social media has always been biased, which makes them the wrong entities to monitor Fake News.

As possibly a way out of this mess for Facebook on Jan 11, 2017, they announced a journalism project partnering with Fox News and The Washington Post along with other news sources and essentially do what we do.

Take a look at our Uncle Sam infographic (click for resources page) on the right side of our pages. Where we ask you “to Question News You Read, Explore the same story from multiple sources – or – Relax and know that’s what we do!” This is exactly what Facebook will be doing, hmm did they take our suggestion, or maybe they read our article, “Trust the Media?…”. Well, either way, it’s a start.

So Facebook has been caught and Zuckerberg feels the investors breathing down his neck. Here is a couple of examples of why we should STILL question Facebook, Twitter, Google and the news sources they display. And how important it is for news aggregators to have a neutral stance.

One thing to keep in mind, they can always blame it on the algorithm (computer code stuff). Which by the way is written by them.

NY Times

Here the Times starts with an example of a fake news story, then they immediately jump on top of Donald Trump with his Obama birther issue. They mention that he accused Hillary of starting the birther movement, which her campaign did. They jump to Nixon and Bush funny all right-wing Republicans. So this whole article is created to put their enemy down. Now isn’t that biased?

Facebook

LoveLetters ask people to show Immigrants with or without papers that we are looking out for them and the hashtag is #ImmigrantsWithLove campaign. A girl is shown on a video easing their worries and that the American Dream can be theirs. They don’t mention Kate Steinle who was killed by an illegal or the thousands of people who had a rough or deadly run-in with immigrants. But they feed off of the kindness of people because most people feel for them, especially when they have been kept away from the problems with immigrants by the media, they keep the truth and give us their lies and that’s what the left counts on, ignorance.

Facebook

Mark created a group called FWD.us which is attacking Trump on his immigration stance. Now that sounds like activism to me. He along with Bill Gates and other silicon valley giants are in favor of H1-B visa’s which allows companies to use foreign workers in the U.S.

Google

The Holocaust didn’t happen? So to be fair It’s not that Google said it didn’t happen it’s just that there were many searches asking that exact question. So their algorithm put it at the top of the list. However, people look at it as it didn’t happen.  In the UK if you search “are black people smart” it will show “black people are significantly less intelligent than all other races” That’s a big problem.

Google

Wikileaks said Google was Hillary Clinton’s Secret weapon. So here the blamed algorithm is actually being used to manipulate the news to help Hillary, so I guess they can control the algorithm. “Oh! What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive” this quote was from a play way before the internet “web”. It was referring to a love triangle in a play “Marmion” by Sir Walter Scott. Well, I guess it’s a love affair with Hillary.

Facebook

Facebook uses: Poynter but only uses ABC, PolitiFact, and SNOPES out of 43 sources worldwide, but then again why would you use a source in Turkey, Czech Republic, Uruguay, Kenya or Kosovo. Poynter puts up a nice “code of principles” but is very odd.

Snopes may have started out ok, but it has leftists running it.

Oh and George Soros’ Open Society Foundation (Open Borders) funds Poynter so there’s Facebook’s Soros Connection

Fake News concerns 64%-69%  of our citizens. I still can’t believe that I am writing this about the United States.

Twitter

For blogging out loud))Twitter hid tweets showing where to vote for Donald Trump. How different is this from a third world country’s dictator?

Facebook

Facebooks draconian law deletes pages on a whim, with no person to call or to complain to, yes we were on Facebook, but…

What really bothers me is the uncertainty they make us feel, much like the astronaut’s lifeline, they control the oxygen.

There are an ebb and flow to these type of business’, but biases can influence users and founders pockets.

How stupid is it for these social media giants to take a side.

There will always be competitors eager to get a portion of their users. Of note is Gab, yup we are on it. A direct Twitter competitor without political censorship where currently conservatives are flocking, but all are welcome.

One thing we can all agree upon “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. The left has a monopoly on media, so it’s up to us conservatives to keep an eye on them and to encourage a fair playing field.))
